Value Stream Mapping

The Value Stream Mapping course is designed to provide participants with the knowledge and skills required to create and analyze value stream maps. Participants will learn about the key principles and concepts of value stream mapping, including the identification and elimination of waste, the visualization of process flows, and the measurement of cycle times and lead times. The course covers the steps required to create a current state value stream map, including the collection of data and observations, the creation of a detailed process map, and the identification and analysis of waste. Participants will also learn how to create a future state value stream map, including the identification and prioritization of improvement opportunities, and the development of an implementation plan.
The course also covers the key tools and techniques required to analyze and interpret value stream maps, including the identification of bottlenecks and constraints, the calculation of process efficiency, and the measurement of cycle time and lead time improvements. Participants will learn how to use value stream maps to identify opportunities for process improvement, waste reduction, and cycle time reduction, and how to prioritize and implement improvement initiatives. By the end of the course, participants will have the knowledge and skills required to create, analyze, and interpret value stream maps, and be able to use this information to drive continuous improvement and waste reduction initiatives in their organization.
